The table of figures compares the data of males and females who worked in diverse industries in the years of 1990, 2000 and 2010.
As can be seen, generally, of note is the fact that the figure for men who worked in health area maintained fairly stable. Likewise, the same steady trend could be seen in the females working in retail and shops, as well as the tourism during these years.
In 1990, more males were engaged in retailing and shops, also in manufacturing, whereas females were more likely to work in the field of health and tourism. To be specific, sharing 23% and 25% respectively at the beginning, the rates of men in both these two industries went through a decline, but it should be notable that the proportion of manufacturing reduced more significantly. On the contrary, that of men employed in tourism rose steadily, from 7% to 20%, the biggest of these four areas in 2010.
As for women, there was a general decrease in the people who worked in the health and manufacturing industry. Especially the manufacturing, just 9% women took this job in 2010. In stark contrast, tourism was quite popular among the females, roughly at 25% in 2010.
Obviously, the data indicate that tourism was an attractive industry for men and women in 2010.
Some people believe that the government have the duty to ensure its citizens have a healthy diet，while others believe that it is individuals' responsibility to care for their diet and health. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.
Currently, diet-related disease is the biggest killer in the United States and England today, which has also become a catastrophe sweeping the world. Whether the government or the individuals should shoulder the responsibility to care for the diet and health has sparked a heated discussion. In this essay, before rendering my notions, I will explore the issue from diverse perspectives.
On the one hand, no one would deny the fact that the government has the obligation to publicize the importance of having a healthy diet. It is quite common to see that a great number of young people are crazy about fast food or junk food. Also, it is claimed by the America government report that obesity problem costs 10 percent of the healthcare bills in the yearly budget. Thus, the government should offer guidance to the citizens, especially the young generations so as to ensure their well-being. Future diet plan and lifestyle intervention programmes should emphasize increasing fresh vegetables and fruits in addition to reducing television watching and other sedentary behaviours.
On the other hand, any doctor or specialist will tell us the truth that it is the individuals’ tiny behavior that can improve our physical condition. Countries, like England, Australia, India and China, have massive problems of obesity and bad health. Findings show that individuals with higher levels of having a balanced diet and eating fresh vegetables had a lower risk of getting illness. Every hour a day spent working out strengthens our blood flow and the function of each part of body. In addition to increasing physical activity, we should know that establishing a long-term lifestyle for ourselves is of great importance for the physical health.
To conclude, the government is the supervisor to publicize the value of having a good diet, however, the most vital part is that we should build up a primary goal for ourselves.
