　　Study and life have always been the two cores of a university life, which often put students in a dilemma-whether they should focus on improving their scores in the exams or practicing their skills in real life. In my opinion, though both aspects are important, students should value their studies prior to other activities.

　　Indeed, plenty of opportunities are offered to the students to prepare themselves in this miniature of the society by participating in various activities. For instance, during the orientation week, clubs and associations often recruit freshmen, in which they can get a higher position after practicing their management or social skills for a year. The experience provided can get students used to the sophisticated working environments in the future, but cannot guarantee them a promising career without a solid foundation of professional knowledge.

　　Being away from the monitor of parents and teachers while given with the freedom of planning their own schedules, many students get lost once after they graduate from high school. Some concern too much about their roles in the associations, and some even waste their time on sleeping and leisure for the compensation of their previous hard-work. These people will regret when they enter the labor market since what values the most is their academic competence.

　　All in all, the life of a university student is complex. A student must juggle the often-conflicting priorities associated with his/her current academic and social responsibilities to complete their university studies successfully, while maintaining a lifestyle that satisfies their personal and social needs.
