　　The increasing cases of school shooting and suicide attacks have urged people to investigate the reasons behind the surface. Some people imputed the frequently occurred attacks to the excessive violent contents displayed on the media. From my perspective, other methods may be more effective than solely controlling the amount of violence in movies or TV series.

　　Whether the audience will be influenced by the violent plots or scenes is still arguable. On the one hand, some people may deem that censoring system is necessary and should be strict since teenagers are vulnerable to social evils. They will imitate the plots they saw on TV, and the violence being shown can trigger potential crimes. However, many of the criminals commit crimes because of the lack of care from others or the wrong or aggressive attitudes towards the world being instilled since they were young, instead of the media. Materials are neutral. What makes the difference is the way people use it.

　　Limiting the input of violence from the media may help to alleviate the situation to some extent, but in order to deter offenders from committing crimes we need to put public security under surveillance. Ever since the 2014 Kunming attack, the Chinese government has deployed police force in every railway, subway and train station, and reinforce the original security system. Passengers now have to present their IDs apart from sending their luggage through X-ray scan. This approach has successfully prevented more terrorist attacks from happening for three years.

　　In short, the government should seek more effective solutions to this problem, rather than wasting time and effort on the measure, which is doubted to be workable.
