　　While the modern media considerably accelerates the flow of infornation and keeps the public well-informed, there is a striking tendency of detail-focused coverage of some sensational criminality, resulting in mounting calls for the limit of it. I am, undoubtedly, one of the advocates of this statement.

　　Perhaps, the strongest argument in favour of the restraint of crime report would be the possible rise of offence cases. One of the factors contributing to it is that when the all-round information, including the tools, means, or strategies of a crime case, is revealed on TV or Internet, many potential criminals are probably inspired to be copycats, even more would-be outlaws may learn a lesson from this report and upgrade their criminal means, making them more difficult to be caught then leading to more illegal practices. Further and more importantly, the frequent report of crime details can not only negatively influence the adults, but also spark the dark side of adolescents psychologically. According to the report, 10 to 15-year-olds are the most likely age group to fall victim to violence on TV. The more violence they viewed, the greater the likelihood of aggressive behavior they would have and the more desensitized they would become as well. In this way, people would feel much unsafer in the society with a higher crime rate.

　　The point mentioned above, however, does not mean the absolute deny of details report of criminality on media. It is an irrefutable fact that the masses have the right to know what is happening around them, especially the events that could threaten their peaceful life. Besides, if they are pre-informed and warned with the illegal acts, more similar crimes can be found before they bring more victims and loss. For example, as more and detailed phone fraud cases are covered on TV, ordinary people are more alert to strange phone numbers and their temping but misguiding words.

　　In conclusion, from where I stand, I once again restate my view that illegal cases themselves should be broadcasted by various media forms, but the further and deep report on more details should be censored，even some extremely bloody scenes can only be accessed by police, not the public.
