　　如果你发现自己表达的句子之间其实并没有直接的逻辑关系，或者没有办法做到连贯通畅，这可能是因为你没有组织好你的语序。语言组织不好就会在起承转合上出现问题，发生不自然的停顿。

　　这个时候我们可以用“连接词”和“间隙词”来帮助我们从一个想法流畅地过渡到下一个想法，也能让你喘息几秒去思考下一步该说些什么。

　　通过这种方式，使我们的答案听起来更加自然连续，并且和评分人的调性保持一致，获得更高的口语分数。

　　Connecting Words (连接词)

　　托福口语中常见的连接词有：

　　1. 比较关系(相同点)

　　similarly; in like manner, in comparison with; when compared with; compared with; when in fact...; like...;

　　2. 对照关系(不同点)

　　yet; still; for all of that; notwithstanding; rather; neither ... nor; although; though; but; however; something is just the other way around(另一种方式); while

　　3. 举例关系

　　for example; for instance; in thiscase; namely; as you know; like; such as; a case inpoint is...; in particular; including...; put it simply; stated roughly; on this occasion

　　4. 强调关系

　　in fact; especially; particularly; moreover; naturally; what is particular; not to mention...; believe it or not; undeniably; it is certain/sure that...

　　5. 条件关系

　　if; unless; lest; provided that(考虑到); if it is the case; in this sense; once...; if possible; if necessary; if so; if not all; if anything

　　6. 归纳总结

　　in other words; to put it in a nutshell; in sum; therefore; hence; in short; in brief; to sum up;in conclusion; in summary; to conclude

　　7. 方位关系

　　beyond; opposite to; adjacent to(毗邻的); at the same place; there; over; in the middle; around; in front of; in the distance; farther; here and there

　　8. 目的关系

　　with this object; for this purpose; in order that; in this way; since; so that; on that account; in case; with a view to; for the same reason.

　　9. 重申关系

　　in other words; that is to say; namely; to put it in another way;as I have said;again;once again.

　　10. 时间关系

　　at once; immediately; at length; in the meantime; meanwhile; at the same time; in the end; then; soon; not long after; later; at once; at last; finally

　　11. 先后关系

　　12. 因果关系

　　13. 转折关系

　　15. 递进关系

　　Gap Filler(间隙词)

　　托福口语中常见的间隙词有：

　　1. Well

　　美国人常用的Gap Filler莫过于Well。他们在交流时，当听话者想要让说话者知道自己正在准备说话时，就会先用一个Well揽过话茬。

　　通常这个词的要用升调，例如：

　　A：When are you going to take a trip to Italy?

　　B: Well, I have been preparing for that for a long time and I think it will be in next month.

　　2. Uhmm

　　这个词也是美国人超级爱用的语气词。发音时就是发出“啊”的音之后再闭上嘴继续“木”音。

　　通常情况下，这个词用来告诉听话者：“我正在思考你所提出的问题”例如：

　　A：Are you gonna be available this Sunday afternoon?

　　B: Uhmmmmm… I am not sure and please let me check my schedule.

　　3. You Know

　　这个想必大家都非常熟知。虽然表面意思是“你知道的”，但是更多时候说话者使用了这个词表示马上就要继续阐述自己的观点。

　　例如：

　　A：What would you like to have?

　　B：Well,you know, like always, Orange Chicken!

　　4. It's Like…

　　美国年轻人超级爱使用这个句式，有时候它被用来打比方但是更多时候是用来打比方同时拖延思考时间。

　　例如：

　　A：How was the show on Sunday?

　　B：Uhmm, it's like…it's like the one we saw together last year.

　　5. I Mean

　　这个可以说是考托口语杀手锏了，因为有很多的考生在回答问题时，说着说着就跑题了。为了防止这种现象的出现，我们要迅速反应拉回话题。

　　这时候我们就要用“I Mean”。例如：

　　A: Would you please tell me more about your former university?

　　B: Oh, yes, sure, I went abroad when I was a junior and came back one year later. I transfered to another school right after I came back. Oh, I am sorry, I mean I do not really know that much of it.
