　　In modern times, a prevalent trend around the world is that many young people are unable to manage their money properly and lack financial management as well as budgeting skills. There are various reasons behind this phenomenon as well as potential solutions to resolve this problem.

　　Many young people around the world today are inadequately prepared to handle their finances for several reasons. First of all, parents are not giving their children the proper training in personal finance. In fact, the majority of parents do not actively involve their children in budget planning or teach their children financial literacy. Thus, their children do not recognize the importance of managing a budget or saving money. In addition, schools often lack personal finance classes and focus exclusively on core subjects such as science, mathematics, and reading. Because many students are not exposed to personal finance either in school or at home, they are likely to struggle when making real-world financial decisions upon graduation.

　　To address the lack of financial literacy in young people, parents should take the initiative to educate their children on personal finance topics. They could start by teaching their children about the consequences of spending money, helping them develop good saving habits, and getting them involved in family financial decisions. Moreover, parents should teach their children how to manage their own budget and allocate their money. School systems worldwide should also implement mandatory personal finance courses in their curriculum and ensure that students learn basic financial literacy skills. Alongside regular classes, schools could also integrate on site and online workshops to supplement the personal finance classes. In that way, students are able to obtain a comprehensive understanding of necessary money management skills before graduating high school.
