　　Okay, so a disease I suffered from is the flu, which seemed like a common cold at first, but became much more severe after a few days. I had never gotten the flu before until then, so I was definitely quite worried at first, and the entire experience was very uncomfortable.

　　As for when it happened, this was during my senior year in high school, right after I took my final exams for the fall semester. It was wintertime, and a lot of classmates were getting sick as well. I remember one day at school, I started having a headache and runny nose, and I couldn’t stop sneezing. I went home to rest afterwards, but the headache kept getting worse. Eventually, after a few days, I developed a fever and my muscles started to ache.

　　And, well, I felt completely awful the whole time. The symptoms were far more severe than a cold, and I felt like my entire body hurt. Not only did I have a sore throat, runny nose, and headache, I felt an overwhelming sense of fatigue, and it was even difficult to get out of bed during those days. It was a lot more serious than I expected, especially the level of pain and discomfort I suffered from.

　　Finally, I recovered after about a week, but it took me nearly two weeks to return to my normal mental state and physical health. I took medicine during those days to reduce my fever and muscle aches, and I also tried to keep myself hydrated and get enough rest every day. The experience was deeply unpleasant, so I was incredibly relieved once I recovered.

　　Not necessarily, since people are more aware of their health and nutrition needs, and there are also proper vaccinations for many common diseases.

　　What are some diseases that may be easily caught?

　　Well, I’d say diseases like the common cold, flu, strep throat, things like that. Those are probably some of the most common infectious diseases.
