　　Okay, so a short trip I often do but don’t enjoy is my trip to my workplace. My workplace is in an office building in Pudong, but it’s in quite an isolated area so it takes about twenty minutes to walk there from the nearest subway station.

　　As for how often I do this trip, well, I’m a teacher, so I work whenever I have classes scheduled. I’m most busy on the weekends, but I also teach on several weekday evenings, whenever students need to take classes. During holidays when students are off school, I travel to the Pudong office just about every day, which gets really tiring.

　　And, um, I need to do this trip because it’s essential for my job. Even though there are teaching centres in other parts of the city, I’m responsible for teaching in the Pudong district, and it’s not realistic to change teaching centres. Unfortunately, the office in Pudong is also the farthest from my home.

　　Last of all, I don’t enjoy doing this trip because it’s always extremely crowded in the subway, and the teaching centre is also a twenty-minute walk from the subway station. So, altogether, it takes about an hour to get from my apartment to my workplace, which I wouldn’t consider to be that long, but it’s still tiring to do on a regular basis. The crowds in the subway are the biggest in the morning and evening rush hour time, and I’m almost never able to find a seat. So yeah, crowds are the main reason that I don’t enjoy the commute to my workplace.

　　I’m pretty sure young people in general prefer to travel abroad since they tend to be more open to new experiences.

　　Yeah, sure they do, and some of the most common destinations are countries in Europe and other Asian countries.

　　Which one is more helpful to learn about a country? Reading literary works about the country or travelling to the country in person?

　　I think travelling to the country in person is more helpful because it allows people to have a first-hand, immersive experience in the country and get to know the culture in person.
