　　Okay, so a time I got close to a wild animal was during my visit to the Shanghai Wild Animal Park last year. The park is like a combination of a zoo and a safari. There are animals in natural enclosures, but you can also take a safari ride on a bus and see animals in their natural habitat.

　　So, the park actually had an area where you could interact with wild animals in person. I remember seeing lion and tiger cubs in a small enclosure that you could even touch and play with. Since they were babies, they didn’t pose a threat to anyone, but it was still easy to notice how their behaviour was more “wild” and uncontrollable than housecats. They would run around the enclosure, chasing and wrestling each other. Some seemed to be calmer than others, whereas others were a bit more aggressive.

　　As for who I was with, I was with my friends. We decided to visit the Shanghai Wild Animal Park since we hadn’t been there before, and we wanted to see how it was different from a typical zoo. We were quite pleased overall with our experience, and it seemed to us that most of the animals were healthy and treated well.

　　Finally, I felt that it was really a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see and interact with lion and tiger cubs. I thought they were pretty cute, but I definitely wouldn’t want to keep one as a pet. Most of the people there were also thrilled by the chance to play with the cubs, and I remember taking a lot of pictures during my time there.

　　Well, animals in the wild live in their natural habitat and keep most of their natural behaviours, whereas animals in a zoo are confined to an enclosed space.

　　Why should the staff in the zoos teach the public about animals?

　　I think the staff should teach the public about animals since it’s very helpful knowledge to have, and it also helps to spread awareness of things like environmental protection.

　　Why are people keen on raising pets?

　　Hmm, it’s probably because pets are a good source of companionship, and they bring people a lot of joy and comfort.
