Describe a time you had to wait in line (queue up) for a long time.

  You should say:

  When it was

  Where you were

  Why you were there

And how you felt about it

Okay, so I’m asked to describe a time when I had to wait in line for a long time, and what comes to mind first is when I had to queue up for a roller coaster in Disneyland. This actually happened last weekend when I visited Disneyland for the first time with my girlfriend. Since we were visiting on a weekend, there were massive crowds everywhere, and the roller coaster we wanted to ride was one of the most popular thrill rides in the park.

So, we were there because we wanted to see what Disneyland in Shanghai was like. Many of my friends have been there and highly recommended it to me. They said that their experience was fantastic, and that there were lots of wonderful attractions there—not just for children. So yeah, I eventually decided to visit with my girlfriend, and we planned to ride the biggest roller coaster there called Tron.

And…how I felt about it? Well, neither of us expected to wait more than two hours just to get on the roller coaster, and the ride itself only lasted a few minutes. But then again, it was definitely one of the most thrilling rides I’ve been on, and if it weren’t for the line, I would be tempted to go on it again. Many people on the ride screamed when it took off since it was extremely fast, but it was also very exciting and well-designed, and we didn’t feel sick or uncomfortable afterwards. So, overall, I had an amazing time in Disneyland.

  Part 3:

Do Chinese people often wait in line?

Oh yeah, definitely. There’s a massive population, so long lines are kind of unavoidable.

Do you think the development of technology has reduced the time people spend waiting?

Yeah, I think so, since oftentimes you can book something online in advance, which means you can actually skip the queues.

What do you think of those who cut in line or jump the queue?

I think cutting in line is extremely rude behaviour, and it’s really unfair for others who have been patiently waiting in line.

How can companies improve their customer service?

Well, they can try to obtain more customer feedback and be more responsive and efficient in assisting their customers.
