　　Many schools encourage students to evaluate and criticize their teachers in order to improve the quality of education, while others say this will lead to the loss of respect for teachers. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

　　People have different views on whether or not students should be allowed to give evaluations or criticism of their teachers. Though some think it would lead to an improved education, others believe it would result in a loss of respect for teachers. In my opinion, the potential benefits of the action outweigh the risks.On one hand, there are indeed risks to allowing to students openly criticise their teachers. Teachers are usually widely respected in society and are considered experts on their subject. However, if they are constantly questioned or criticised by their students, then their status as authority figures could be lowered in the eyes of their students. When students no longer respect their teachers, they pay less attention to their teachers in class or even ignore them entirely. In worst cases, the boldest students might constantly interrupt their teachers, making it harder for other students to learn.Though these are valid concerns, I believe that most students are mature enough to not abuse the privilege of voicing their thoughts and criticism. In fact, students likely know that no one is perfect and would see giving feedback as a way to improve their own education. Having open communication with the teacher would also encourage students to pay more attention in class and establish a closer bond with the teacher. At the same time, most teachers probably have a thick enough skin to accept feedback from students and would use it to improve the quality of their lessons. They would understand that seeking outside perspectives and new angles is a necessary part of improving anything.In conclusion, though there are some risks in allowing students to evaluate and criticize their teachers, these risks are greatly overshadowed by the potential benefits.
